BIO waterwagon began as a humble cover band, playing bars across the southern tip of ohio. over the past three years, they have quickly evolved into a band with its own sound and direction. the band's four-piece flexibility and eclectic influences combine to make for an interesting ride every time waterwagon plays. routinely stretching out for ten or twenty minutes, these guys definitely know how to take a jam to its limits and beyond. their sets flow in and out of rock, blues, funk and reggae to reveal the connective tissue beneath each member's own diverse inspirations. stan jones is waterwagon's guitar player and the band's main vocalist and lyricist. much of the bands' repertoire is built out of stans soulful originals. much of the writing is done on stans guitar. zac wynn plays keyboards and sings as well. a multi-instrumentalist, zac brings a colorful stash of sound and texture. andy hall covers all drums and percussion. an avid student of world music, andy's sense of timing is very much the backbone of the band's sound. t.j. moorehouse, the group's bass player, was heavily influenced by everything from heavy metal to jam bands and the Grateful Dead. He draws from a bag of blues and funk to hold down the bottom end. |
